Hose routing questions : charcoal canister/purge valve

I put my charcoal canister back on (why not?) and want to make sure I'm getting the routing correct. I'm running the nipple coming off the block straight to the charcoal canister (PIC1 and PIC2). This will work fine?

Also, there's a nipple coming off the oil filler neck (PIC1). If I'm reading the diagram correctly it, in stock form, goes to the purge valve which then goes to vacuum. As such, can I just route it straight to a vacuum source (PIC3) since I'm not sure if I have a purge valve lying around? If I do have a purge valve, the 2 vacuum tubes coming from the purge valve go to the nipples on the front of the UIM?

Thanks...
