Usually, if it gets to the point where you get water leaks on the ceiling, your sunroof assembly has rusted through.
This is usually caused by a plugged drain hose.
You'd be lucky to get a leaky hose or a disconnected hose as the culprit.

ANY problems with the sunroof operating requires the whole thing to be removed, rebuild / lubed, and then replaced.
This is a PITA job.
