Basically to use the front mounts found on a 12a (or 13b gslse) on a later model 13b your going to need a GSLSE oil pan and a 12a or 13b gslse front cover. This will pretty much allow the whole deal to bolt into the car. Now, if you have an originally 12a equipped car, the subframe is slightly different than the 13b GSLSE. This is to account for the size of the engine. So to make sure your transmission lines back up, you can bend the engine mount member by putting the tabs on the ends in a vise and bending them. I cant recall exactly what they need to be pushed out to though. Also a small section will need to be cut out to clear the corner of the engine.

this is how it was done on my car. s4 13b with a 12a front cover, crossmember and engine mount bracket.

the engine was in an 85 GS so I'm hoping that it will just drop in but now I am going to keep a close eye on the forementioned possible differences.
