Video--Can You ID this Sound???

Posted this several places, but few clues yet.

Engine is recently rebuilt with new housings, so tranny has been off recently too.

banging increases with rpm. Clutch doesn't seem to make any diff whether in or out.

Thanks for any ideas.

Really hard to diagnose from a video. Almost sounds like a slight exhaust leak. Can you tell where the noise is coming from?

Cannot isolate "where". I was hoping it was the airpump, but the sounds seems to be coming from farther back than that.

thanks

Take off the belts and run it for a short time. See if that helps.

It sounds like the rotor is touching the housing. Did you check this clearance?

Did you change a rotor or gear/bearing assembly? This indexing is important.

Just drove it 200+ miles.
-water temp steady at 160F or below
-vacuum steady at highway speeds at -16
-oil pressure steady at 55ish
noise was still there at idle/low rpm at end of trip.

thanks
