FD water pump housing on 12A engine...

Does anyone know if FD water pump housing will fit on 12A with FD pins?? I have 12A in my RX2 and bunch of FD parts. If I could use the FD housing on the 12A, I could even put the FD alternator.

I had a belt break on me and the 12A over heated. Engine is fine but Don't want that happening again...

If Any of you know this, I would greatly appreciate it, before I take mine apart..

I did a 2nd gen housing, but haven't heard of anyone doing a 3rd gen yet. Good luck, and take some pics if you do it.

The pullies are different so you might need to swap your other pullies over to FD.

well i have never used an FD pump on a 12a, BUT i have used an FC housing on a 12a with the 12a pump. That connected right together without any issues. Being that i used a 13b housing on a 12a, i can't see why the FD pump assembly wont work. The only issue i had was created but using the aluminum 12a pump with the aluminum 13b housing. The alternator mount portion doesn't line up to give you a place to connect the tension bracket

what i did instead was pull one of the studs out after mounting and used a long bolt instead. Then i modified an air pump bracket to work.
