Slid engine back in...
Didn't want the engine sitting on the stand much longer, so I hoisted it back into the bay.
Here is the blow-by-blow, I:
Hopefully the rest will go as smooth as that above. I'm really surprised I had no trouble so far doing it by myself.

Sounds good. Its always more a pain when you put the engine in when the trans is already in place.
Got pics??? |

OK, engine is sitting back in the bay, the tranny is bolted tight and to car is once again on 4 wheels.
But the intake is not on, I will bolt it up today. Question. The car is going to sit for another 6 months before I finish buttoning it up, should I squirt oil into the chambers and rotate the engine before I install the intake mani?

Its always a good measure. It wont hurt it - just use some good clean motor oil and you should be good. If you use to much, it'll just be harder to start the first time and smoke a bit, but it wont hurt it.

You find it easier to put the engine in when the trans is already in place??
With engine and trans together, all you need to do is slide it into the tunnel, bolt in the mounts and slide the driveshaft into place. Lot less bolts to be involved with ![]() |

I found it easy because I never even had to get under the car.

It had to sit for about a year because I travel for a living and had to leave the state.
