Quick voltage question for all of you.

Before and after warm up (drive-time), what does your voltmeter on your gauge cluster read?

Mine goes from 12 to 13.1, that is if .1 V is even possible.

should be 14.7
your alt may be dying, lose connection, belt slipping, etc

My S4 alternator doesn't put out anything until I rev it up once, then starts putting out like normal, kinda weird.

ALternator comes to mind first. I had a weird one: The output cable was bad and kept killing the voltage regulator.

I did that for a few months. Expect your alt to crap out soon. Worse case scenario: You blow your electrical system from an overload. When you rev and it adjusts the voltage it may mean the voltage regulator is dying/faulty. It COULD ZAP your electrical system just as easy as it undercharges it. Keep an eye out and test the voltage at the B-terminal.

Learned most of that from RETed.

so was mine, twice. The wire kept killing it. It's been at least a month already and no problems after bypassing the stock output wire.

Mine did that when the T-shaped connector fell out the back. Plugged it back in and worked like stock again.

It could just be the battery, may need a recharge.

I made a thread before about my batteries keep on dying, which turned out to be a faulty alt. I didn't replace that battery so that maybe it.

The voltage been this way since I replaced a new alt.
