The latest project

Obviously a 20B being dropped into an FB. We decided the easiest way to make everything work was to swap in an FC subframe. This was shockingly easy. The most difficult part will be fabricating the steering column since the FB column just isn't going to work. Anyone that is considering the swap shouldn't hesitate. We're using Koni double adjustables from an FC that will be revalved for the drag specific application of this car. Just like a 20B swap in any FC the engine basically fits the subframe like a glove. Once the steering column is finished and all the chassis bits are buttoned up the engine will be pulled apart and freshened. Ultimate plans are probably going to be some form of BW turbo, Haltech PS2k, and Mercury coils.

I want a ride this time, lol. Looks like it fits well, did you all find a subframe locally?

Duck picked up the subframe from someone local. No idea where though. The engine sits quite a bit further forward than I'd like. But with the location of the shifter needing to remain in the nearly stock location and without building a custom oil pan that's where it's going to stay. Will make locating the radiator and IC a bit more tricky and add to the front end weight quite a bit but it'll work well for now. If he ever decides on a custom transmission of some sort that will allow use to move everything back it'll work out better in all regards.
