I would nominate phil as well! All these years we have been putting these cars together and phil never gets his car tuned! Come on phil, lets make 400!
Phil, if you want me to make it work on a FD lower manifold I can weld up holes that don't line up and drill and tap new holes, port match... Piece of cake. Last edited by Bryan@BNR; 03-04-2008 at 01:22 AM. |

Cosmo intake manifolds are nice and the plenums are larger than the REW. The REW runners are longer. Usually, larger plenums are better for top end and longer runners are better for TQ. Being forced induction with a standard side port or street port, it won't make a hill of beans difference between the 2 b/c power tends to fall off after 7600. If you were half BP or PP then you would need the added plenum area for increased RPM capabilities.

Nice photos. The bend radius looks better on the RE manifold, and the runners on that RE manifold have a much larger diameter than the REW manifold. Is this because it has been modified, or were the runners larger to begin with?
Does anyone know which was designed first, the RE or the REW manifold? -s- |

The runners on the RE are taller than the REW's but the main difference is the pocket just before the port.
The REW is like a 90º fitting vs. the RE’s 45º angle. If you look closely at the floor of of the runners you may be able to make it out. Barry |
