				Carb adjustment
			 
			
			I have a totally stock 73 Rx2 with a 12a and twin dizzy, Does anyone know how to adjust the stock carb on this thing, any info greatly appreciated   |

			1.5 top 2.5/3.5 bottom are factory settings. Top screw is air, bottom fuel. That should get you going as long as someone has not played with throttle plate. Top is used for idle setting, bottom for emissions.

			Sterling is our resident expert.  He also has a lot of information built up over at www.sterlingmetalworks.com The settings listed above should get you close, but for fine tuning take a look at the tuning section at the site listed above. Good luck.  .

			I do the fine tuning with an exhaust analyzer as all street registered vehicles that leave this shop have to pass IM240.  And yes from what I hear and have seen Sterling is the top modifier now. |

			One on the body of the carb (idle mixture), and one that is kind of hidden under the linkage at the back of the carb (idle speed).  That one, you have to get down low, practically resting your chin on the driver's side fender, in order to see it.

			My rx2 did not have a Nikki stock, so check yours to see if it is a hitachi. Then from there people will be able to help more. Not sure if the sterling site will help with a hitachi.

			did hitachi build  carbs for stock 1985 rx7`s, just assumed it was a nikki, cant find idle adjust screw, looks just like a stock  nikki from pics
