I dunno if this was a joke...

40 - 45psi "overinflated"?
We've run 60psi+ in autocross without any ill effects during the runs.
I've seen guys run inflations up to 80psi at the autocross without blow-out's.

Of course, this is with PROPERLY sized tires to wheels.
