I was trying to come up with a light weight way to mount this front end while making everything

functional. I am very much OCD and in my mind every ounce counts. I even choose things like lighter weight

bolts when designing something. To me, it all adds up in the end...

So I came up with this. Or rather borrowed it a little from the road race guys and made it my own. I

decided I wanted to make a splitter that wasnt really a splitter. But rather a flat bottom belly that also

acted as the lower mounting point for the front end. I did a lot of research and cheacked out a bunch of

different material and finally setlled on 1/4" plywood. It was light than the aluminum I was planning to

use and MUCH less exspansive than all the other ideas. Here is how I went about doing it...







8'x4'x 1/4" plywood for $21... Cant beat it and it weight less than 1/16 aluminum sheet!





Trace your front bumper and cut to the line:
