New guy to the forum from NC.

Hey everyone!

Names Josiah and I am stopping by to introduce myself and my car. I bought my car in May of 2012. It is a 2007 RX-8 GT. Had 20k on it with perfect compression. I originally halt from the DSM/Evo crowd. Had a number of them before taking the chance and making a move to the world of rotarys.

Not a complete stranger to them but never had as personal experience till now. Had several friends in San Diego that owned some version of an RX-7. The first rotary I ever worked on was my friends 10AE FC. Also had a friend that had a FB with a street ported TII swap. Man that car was fun to listen too.

Not much was done to the car when I picked her up. She was stock other than a injen intake and a set of Greddy strut bars. I have since installed a TurboXS cbe with race pipe, Lebren rear fog light, and waiting on my Cobb AP to arrive so that I can make a few changes to the cars mapping for reliability reasons.

Future plans are unsure as I have it in my head to eventually purchase a FB or FC and have it as the project car. If that comes true than the RX-8 will stay mostly as it is. If not than I will look more into doing a low boost setup on the REN or converting over to a REW with a single turbo setup.

Well as things would go I am back in NC for now. I am a mechanical electrician from Norfolk Southern at there Linwood yard. I am planning on entering the management program at work and that means I will have to move again to some other location.

Well enough about me. Here are some pictures of the car and a few of my past cars.

My car is the BB one and the WB one is a friend of mine from Mount Airy.

Within a few weeks of buying the car. I took off with my former roommate/Navy buddy(He's in the Miata) from San Diego and drove down to Deals Gap. Had to see what this car was capable of. I was none too pleased when I realized I had just missed the RR last year. But this year I have put in for vacation that entire week and will be driving down to the Gap Thursday.
