End link bushing problem...

I put in some of my end link bushings and ran into a problem (shock...). When I press the sleeve in it makes the polyurethane part pop out the side. I tried holding it in my press for about an hour and it still popped back out when I let it go.

Below is a picture of what's going on. It's the same end link in both pictures, just flipped around.

The top one shows the side view of how it looks with no metal sleeve pressed in (how I would assume it should look).

The bottom one shows the side view of how it looks with the metal sleeve pressed in and the bushing popping out.

Is this fine to leave like that? Any way of fixing this?
