we'll I don't think BNR broke anything Had a few rotaries show up, Phil with his Cosmo, Me+wife with My FD, StaticPat FD, BNR+wife 1st gen, and 2 I don't remember their names, a Mazda RX-8 Blue that won an award and a primer painted 2nd gen. Nzx20 got us all pizza, that he is going to be repaid for! I think Bryan'sbest time of the day was around 11.2 I am sure he'll post up soon. I have some video I'll post in the next day or so!

Yeah the car is hooking up now. I can tell a huge difference from the last IFO. My best ET was a 11.21 at 126.28 MPH on ET Streets. That was a lift and shift pass. My first qualifying pass I missed 3rd gear and ran an 11.8 at 121 mph. Third qualifying pass I tried flat shifting the 1-2 which went well, but at the end of 3rd I was so into it my finger was on the antilag button from 3rd gear to the end of the pull lol. And I was impressed that it went 11.63 at 110. Ended up qualifying number 2 in the street class behind Brad Grodi in his ttnitrous 300z. He ran a 10.98. So I went up against a TT BMW in the first round of eliminations. I had in mind that I was going to flat shift this pass and it didn't work out too well! mistimed the 1-2 shift and didn't go into gear. Finally it went into gear and he was 2 cars ahead so I reeled him in and then shifted to 5th instead of 3rd. So disapointed in my driving. I should have just ran a mid 11 and just went through a few rounds without speed shifting. But I lost in the first round of eliminations. My take offs were very strong, but the 4.88's in the rear make me shift before the 60ft mark. So I will be putting in some 4.30's here in the next few weeks so hopefully the car will be a solid 10 with a lift and shift. |

I was shifting before the 60 ft and my best 60 ft was 1.625. 2 step and antilag were on and each 60 ft was consistant. I think a 4.30 gear will drop that 60 another tenth plus. It leaves the gate very hard. My buddy said he almost saw daylight under the front tires when I dropped the hammer! Last edited by Bryan@BNR; 11-02-2009 at 04:48 PM. | |

I think that second pass was a start of a 10 second pass until I left my finger on the antilag button lol. What can you do? |

go run the 1/8th and practice that 60 foot. All the numbers you need to know will come from the 1/8th. For my car to run 10.8-10.9's I have to go low 7's (7.1-7.3)

The FB went 7.21 1/8. I had a little spark blow out up top so that probably slowed it down a bit. I think some practice and it can be done. I was running about 19 psi on that 11.20 run.

Get that 60 down to 1.5's or better and that pass should yield you that 10. Makes me want my rx3 ready. Nothing like a light high powered rotary.... BTW I am going manual.. Going Last edited by sk8world; 11-02-2009 at 09:43 PM. |

well ended up I did do damage to the engine in the dyno the weekend before last. I ran that event with rear rotor compression of 90-30-30. So I will have to pull and patch it up...
