Whenever it says Thompson Speedway, keep that day open and you and Abdul get yer asses to CT! I haven't driven that course, but I was talking to one of the CART officers and he told me the whole club really liked it and they were going to see about getting there at least twice. I guess they REALLY liked it and Thompson was accomodating. It should play in a little more to our cars strengths. They're not as nimble as some of the other cars but when they stretch their legs, watch the fuck out! If Rob was hitting 70 in his Miata... I should be in 4th gear at points

Bigger club in CT....

South lot is where it's at!

Damn... these guys are starting early this year and I ain't got a car Sad Brian is sad
the coilovers wasnt an excuse, just something i want, but i wouldnt use that as an excuse....the grenaded diff i would and the shit ass turbos i would, there starting to have trouble reaching 10lbs

hmmm ill have to look into it, the guy building my manifold said he could make me a primary rail for a good price so ill have to really compare

speaking of my manifold, i took a little pitstop today at my buddys shop to check it out since thats were it was at the time, its only half way done but damn does it look sexy

he still has to make the second wg port, clean it up and smooth it out, and weld on the flanges, then off it goes to get ceramic coated

Nice.... I'm going to run one of those electric cutouts on the WG on my FD. Boost activated too becuase I'll be running one of those trim switchs again so it only opens to the atmosphere when it's 75% of max boost and up. Not quit sure how I'm going to do that yet, but that's how I want to run it.

Still got a lot of things to figure out with that car actually.... it would probably help if I could start working on it

So I figured I'd finish the updates that I started. Got nothing done on the FC yesterday, yesterday was a landi day. Got the bulkhead back in, windshield in, and the harness laid out. It actually looks like a truck again and not the munster mobile tha it's been stuck as for the last 3 weeks

So for anyone that saw the FC on the Epic Road Adventure... they knew she was FILTHY..... I didn't know how filthy untill I started working on the rear. A few years back I bought an S5 rear bumper from Fritz Flynn who claimed it was in perfect condition, when it arrived both of the exhaust cutouts were burned... badly So I spoke with my body guy and he kinda laughed at the thought of repairing burnt and melted plastic. I thought I'd give it a try. It lasted a year before it fell off. Oh well. On the list was replace the bumper, or go for the carbon Fibre exhaust guards to cover up the nastiness. Chibikougan gave me one HELL of a deal on a set of gaurds so I picked them up.

Here's what I started with..... not bad right?

Yeah well....... look at it from a different angle

I spent quite a long time washing, then compounding, then glazinging and finally waxing the rear bumper. I was pretty surprised to tell the truth, it came right back to life!

But you can see better what I'm talking about regarding the melting. Fritz Flynn.... bad seller!

Then I decided to move onto a few other parts.... namely everthing in the rear of the girl was taken apart and cleaned entirely... check out the film on the tails!

Two decent pics showing just how awefull the buildup was.... nasty

Now that's an ass! Spent quite a long time fiddling with the bumper trying to get it straight.... that's much better than it was. The Carbon Exhaust guards fit great.... next is to poish up the tips again and then we're done on this end.

Today I should be able to get the new overflow tank built and mounted, and the interior back together so I can take it apart in the next few weeks when I go to drop the 6-spd in, I'll need a new boot for the tranny tunnel... becuase that had to be trimmed to fit the new tranny, and of course drop those Cup-Holders in place if I can ever find them.... ok..... back to work I suppose

I sold you an S5 bumper? I don't think so. I've never sold an FC part of any sort.

Please correct/fix your comments.

THANKS!

Any aftermkt cruise that works by itself, will work with a standalone. I was looking at the Rostra units. Buddy has one on an insight that I drove... I know... a part of me died inside when I got in that car let alone drive it.... such a gutless car... need to drop to 3rd to get up some hills The thing worked well though....

Yea, for me, I like to make every car DDable, and for that cruise is important to me.

Meh, I've never owned a car with cruise.... although I did buy one once. I drove cross country twice without it... it's doable but it can be a nice option
