IIRC the Audi crossed the line in the same fashion. I think I was a little slow with reaction picture taking and didn't get the Audi doing it.

Yea, you should see there website for the event. They have wine tastings.
You can't not post the link to their website. I gotta see this.

Do they lay out wine and cheese baskets in the back of their cars as well?

England is the only right-hand drive country in Europe. All of the other countries are left-hand drive. (And I know some people in England who would probably protest that they aren't really Europeans...)

Yes... more like 600+ But I'm thinking about going to Fontana Village to check some of these tiny cars

Also, wine tastings and automobile driving?? Personally, that's just waiting for trouble..

That being said, remember.. Get plenty of sleep before doing 11 miles and 318 turns. Personally, my judgment delays when I'm tired.

Ugh, they are also doing a "beer swap", or basically a BYOB party..... I hate them already. Do we get a free T-shirt if we run over one of their "micro-machines"?

Do fill up at the BP before heading for the gap. The biker motel owner isn't too friendly about letting anything with more than 3 wheels use his pumps and the nearest gas station aside from the BP is in Robbinsville. And no Robbinsville is not on the way.

That reminds me.
We should contact that BP, to have a tanker of premium on standby just in case.

^That video reminds me of an experience I had I think last year.

I was driving my gtu on the dragon, there was a Lexus is200 or 300 tailgating me, so I decide to give into the pressure and push my car more than I was.

At this time in my experience with my gtu, I've been daily driving it for about 5 years, going for a mountain drive once every few months.
This was my 3rd or 4th time attending/driving DGRR.

My gtu has stock suspension, normal tires, NA engine.

So back to pushing my gtu more than I was, I started to get a gap between me and the is200, enough so that it would disappear in the rear-veiw going around corners.
Soon after I was taking a left hand corner and the rear end started coming around and I ended up sideways in the road, I must have hit a spot of dirt in the road or something.
Right as I was about to straighten the car back on the road the is200 came around the previous corner and stopped.
No harm.

But it definitely was a wtf moment for me.

Moral of the story, and its probably been stated before, but, "Be careful out there on those roads".
These type of moments can and do happen.
Save the "pushing" of your car for the race tracks.

I tend to drive under the assumption that my brakes can fail at any time and a wheel could fall off at any moment. Really puts going into turns really fast in perspective.

As far as do's and don'ts and braking and such.

Let your engine do the work, you shouldn't rely on your brakes to do all the work. I barely used mine.

DJ, engine braking with a rotary isn't the most efficient means of slowing down.
