E85 stripping the tank sediment plugs the pump filters rather quickly. it's almost best to not even have it in there.

Nice to know! I've just ordered a replacement sock, once that gets in I'll swap the sock and have a peek to see if there is anything on the screen inside the pump as well.

As far as I'm aware the pump was only used for 100-200 miles previously as an inline pump mounted after a swirl pot. I don't know for sure if the previous owner ran E85 or not, I know that I have no intention of putting it in my car though.


I've got 1 week before my buddy arrives from England, 2 weeks before my wedding, and 3 weeks before DGRR...

My new "to-do" list is to replace the filter element in my fuelab filter, replace the sock on the 044, re-test. If that results in the appropriate amount of flow than I'll be super happy. If not... I'll get Jacks sweet, sweet, man-cheeks over here and test again while monitoring voltage.

Once my fuel flow is correct (ideally that won't require buying another pump) I'll get her on the dyno and get some numbers posted! (everybody loves dyno sheets! lol)

So far I've ordered the new filter element, and I'll be ordering the new sock as soon as I finish posting here!
