If you don't need either bag then you can just unplug the module on the driverside footwell, its above your right foot if sitting in the seat. Black module with yellow sticker and 2 plugs going into it.
If you need the passenger or driver bag then anything from a 10 ohm to 330 ohm resistor should work on whichever side is deleted. A bulb would work too since it adds resistance to the system, but resistors would be easier to work with. If you just take the airbag diagnostic bulb out, then you will get several beeps instead.

Yes, the driver's airbag is being retained, and needs to function properly.
So, not to sound too ignorant, but just to make sure I understand correctly, I just need to jump a resistor between the plugs (orange and blue)? The driver's airbag should still work correctly and won't deploy itself when the battery is hooked back up after installing the resistor on the passenger side aribag plugs? Neal. |
