Good: driving the Tail of the Dragon, and meeting people.
Bad: (1) driving the one lane trail up 800 feet higher than the main road to our cabin in the sky in the dark. (2) while refueling in northern Alabama, a drunk lady in a one piece dress, barefoot with orange toenails, tried to solicit Kyle and I. |

I guess we owe you a thanks for bitchin' them out 'cause they were fairly on point for us... for a Pizza Hut anyway. Then again we were about the only people in there. |

Good: Over 180 miles of the trip down I managed 30.1mpg with no thermo sensor and no O2 sensor. I don't think my car likes sensors. It spat the O2 sensor out completely first turn on the dragon. Talk about sounding like a tractor...
Great: The roads. The Dragon is incredible, but in a lot of ways I prefer 28. I did get to have a nice clean fast run down The Dragon Friday morning doing an S4 NA's best to keep up with Kevin Henderson lol. No cops, and only a few turns of a Triumph that got out of the way. Skyway is incredible, but there's nowhere to pull off for the best views. I prefer 441. That road is simply stunning, and there are pull offs near the peak that cover a huge swath of valley without trees getting in your way. It is simply breathtaking. Greatest: The people. I less than three BAW cabin. The rest of you guys are awesome as well. People are so nice, they will sell you a set of RB sway bars for $5... ![]() |

He pulled in behind all the FC's in the gravel lot Saturday. He said he was only staying for a few hours though. I did catch his name, but I caught a lot of names I don't quite remember. He was gonna scrap the sway bars, but brought them by in case anyone wanted them first. I think Evil Aviator may know who he is. The three of us were chatting back there for a bit. |

Best part... Talking engine tech with Chuck Westbrook and Kyle Krutilek.
Then with Logan, Peter and Matt from Defined Autoworks. But the highlight was when Holley introduced us to Jim Downing and Rick Engman at Road Atlanta. We (Jonathan, Jack, Matt, and I) picked Rick's brain for an hour! What a wealth of info. Part of his info has us designing a new engine cooling project to try and solve the number 1 and "root cause" for rotary failures. Nice seeing old friends like Steven and his wife Anna, Dale, G, Rich, (and his Posse) and new guys Jose, Chris and Brian. Worst Part.... Bottoming out on hard "G" outs on the Dragon and rolling a fender lip. What is the best street adjustable shock compromise? Barry |

Best part: Attending DGRR in my new car!
Worst: Service @ Pizza Hut in Bryson City and my Sweetwater IPA freezing in the refrigerator. Lmao!

best thing was that i made it, met some cool people, got to ride shotgun in some cool rides including defined's 3rotor fd and a couple from the darkside. Went to my first official race t
rack and got to set foot on it. worst is that my trani fluid was overheated on the way there and i thought it was gonna die on those mountain roads, i had to go in a mustang since i been being rotorless, and last but not least i didn't get to go anywhere near the dragon ![]() Thanx to those that gave the new guy a ride in some nice rotary and v8 powered machines |
