That actually looks really good. Once cleaned up it should be good to go, you got lucky!

Whew, that is a nice port

So with the discovery of the bridge port, do you think this setup will help?

intake:
Racing Beat bridge port Holley intake
Holley 650 double pumper
Quickfuel 150 gph fuel pump
Quickfuel adjustable fpr set for 6psi

So parts are starting to come in for the rebuild.

racing beat Gasket/o-ring kit (showed up yesterday)
FD corner seal springs from pineapple racing
Viton oil ring inserts from Atkins
3mm solid corner seals from Atkins

The tension bolts are in good condition and i plan to reuse them, and the apex seals were low miles. Can you guys think of anything i would be missing?

I would think the 650 should be enough for the bridge...RB uses the 465 for a stock and SP 12A and 650 for the 13B bridge port

And if your build is like mine..money is an issue, anything you already have saves you $$ to put into somthing else.. Don't run a holley Red pump the buzzing will drive you nuts! and pick out a good FPR also..

I am used to the hum of a fuel pump this wont be my first car with a huge fuel pump, but I am thinking the fuel supply and return line would be to small for the pump. I will most likely have to get a new pump and reg.

Any ideas how to strip this thick of grease??? I am stripping it down to paint, so it does not have to be paint safe.

Well marriage and moving really slows stuff down. I was out in the garage for the first time in over a month and got the engine assembled.
