That all depends on you, if you can do all these things well: read, measure, work with your hands, pay attention to detail and have a knack for mechanical things then it can be relatively easy. If not you might want to just pay someone qualified to do it.
Tips: READ. Then read some more. Then a bit more. And read for a few more weeks just for good measure. Watch rebuild videos. Don't let your front Torrington bearing fall. Make sure your oil o-ring under the front cover is done right. There's a ton of crap to get right so you really have to do your research. Rebuild DVD's/videos are a good place to start because they'll familiarize you with the motor and can give rise to other questions you ought to be asking.
