since i know have a plate instead of a temp ill be going out for another round. Ill bring the tripod this time though....still want a better camera than what i have. Something that can take a better night shot

One tip for night shots:

turn off the flash, and use a tripod! no need for a new camera!

That helps a HELL of a lot with longer exposure pictures!

LOL running with no plate reminds me when i was clearing the title on my 7. cops and CHP used to pull me over when ever they saw me. LOL.

i had it on "iso" setting which i really have no idea what is other than it seems to take the best pictures all around and doesnt ever use the flash

i have a tripod but for most of the shots i had the camera against something to get the angles (guardrail, concrete ledge etc) but i still had a bit of the whole motion deal from just holding it.

Got hit by some asshole while driving cross back to Cleveland. Waiting to see what insurance is going to do.

Aww, shit that sucks! I hope they dont total it!

Whizbang 02-13-2009 02:19 AM

still drives fine minus some pulling. Just needs a door and some 1/4 panel work.

FCRotary 02-13-2009 02:23 AM

Ouch! I was about to comment about how nice it is, it still is nice - but that unibody work is going to suck since you just can't replace it (that's what I do anyway lol)

I usually don't like verts, but yours looks pretty clean, very nice find.

Hopefully his insurance covers the repairs. :(

Whizbang 02-13-2009 02:28 AM

the 1/4 panels is mostly scraped. Nothing really dented. Door is FUBAR but that is easily replaced. The door frame isnt affected. Had my former boss who runs a body shop check it out and he says its easily fixable so we are going to make the car as good as new.

Max777 02-13-2009 11:26 AM

BTW:You can think that on the bright side, this gives you a great excuse to do add any aero parts (like turbo sideskirts or an S5 conversion) full repaint, wetsand, buff, and polish it till the paint looks like a mirror!

Whizbang 02-13-2009 11:43 AM

i wanted for sure to repaint the car. Didnt even think about doing the S5 front. Might be worth investigating.

i also want to get rid of that ridiculous aftermarket antenna

After using the brush at the car wash, I'd say it will need a repaint.

Getting a very is temping though...
