1988 Convertbile - My new daily

Waiting for a new master cylinder to come in so i can start driving it (and stopping it). Also have to mount two tires onto the other two S5 turbo wheels so i get them on the fronts!

the cats are clogged. Which is why the car makes absolutely no power. Going to handle this tonight or tomorrow.

HA - Ohio gets crazy bad snow though too. At least in the Medina/Hudson area my family lives in... although I'm sure CO is pretty horrible too! How bad is CO on salting the roads? OH is nuts when it comes to that stuff - it'll rust a car out in 5 years!

Any reason why you're using the T2 wheels on the vert and the vert wheels on the T2? Doesnt look bad, just curious....

Yea i lived east of Cleveland most of my life so i know what Ohio winter can bring. Its odd out here. It was 60 degree two days before the snow came tearing in. Then it was 55 degrees the day after. The biggest issue is they don't plow all that much and they use a mostly cinder mix with a wee bit of salt, which as a whole they use somewhat sparingly. Unlike Ohio where if they see a snowflake they start dropping salt like no ones business.

The turbo II is down currently, and i much prefer the looks of the turbo wheels on the vert (since it runs)

Cool. Yea - I sometimes wish VA would be as pro-active w/ snow removal as OH. Both my uncle and cousin who live in OH work and work for the city doing snow removal, etc during the winter just laugh at us Virginians.

Good luck on the vert - put some winter tires on the other rims

I was under the impression that all verts had LSD.

nice, I have a vert too, but my seats were NOWHERE near as nice condition, and my car is a 91, lol.

Have you considered using a Miata Torsen diff? I know that they drop right into an N/A diff housing, and work quite well for low HP cars. I want one myself, but dont know if I should rather save up, and get the FD torsen +turbo housing and trans...

actually, come to think of it, that would be a killer setup, turbo trans, new preformance clutch, and FD torsen diff, unless you go nuts, this seems like a pretty solid drivetrain!

(plus you can get the Banzai poly engine and trans mounts in the process, since yours are probably not in that great a shape, worthy investment btw!)

Cats are de-clogged (punched out) and the brakes actually function!

Altitude still sucks but at least the car can get out of its own way and well....stop.
