Aeromotive 340
I was looking at these & was wandering if anyone here is running one? From what I understand at 40 psi they out flow the Denso 290lph & the Bosch 044, but that's an inline not a drop in. Seems to be a decent pump for a drop in alternative to what we have out there.

I hate the Bosch 044 as a drop-in replacement.
That said, the Denso poopra TT pump has done me well, I have no complaints about it. However, I wouldn't mind trying one of these. As long as they flow what they say it will and actually LAST as long as an OEM Denso, I'm sold. Amp draw is a big concern though. I didn't see those numbers posted anywhere. |

Nice find..... so basically whinbro still sucks, and I'll more than likely be purchasing that pump for my FC and the denso poopra TT pump that's in there now will be dropped into the 'vert.
Amp draw is a huge consideration. My only complaint about that pump is electrical connection. Brian does not like. Also, have there been any reports of failures or other reliability issues? Boosted rotaries that have a pump puke on them often loose the engine when in boost. |
Well it's fairly new from what I understand, thus why I asked if anyone here has tried it. We all know some things look good on paper, but in truth may not be all that great.
I may also breakdown & get one eventually. |
I dunno if I'm the only one that sees this, but that thing looks suspiciously like a Walbro.
I can only theorize that it's a subcontracted unit from Walbro to Aeromotive. The "crimped" metal case and electrical contacts really look like a Walbro unit... -Ted |
The electrical ceertainly does. However I would think that if whinebro was building these, they would sell them themselves.

Fuel Lab. Newish pumps on the market, they are in line but the manual with mine says they can be mounted in tank. Apparently they run lower current. Can't vouch for them yet as I only got mine today and don't have an engine to test it with. This is their 255lph one, although I think they are also flow more then they say according to a few reviews I read.

The Deatschwerks 300 lph looks like the Walbro 255 too, but I'm with TTT if they made the pump I would think they would at least carry a pump of their own with the same specs.
