Headlight problems
Hey guys, I did a quick search but couldn't find anything so here goes nothing:
Passenger side headlight burnt out last night, so I removed the plastic housing, took out old lamp and put new one in, then replaced plastic housing. All pretty straight forward, right? But when I went to put the headlights down, the driver's side one works perfectly fine while the passenger's side goes down then up to a lazy eye position. No amount of unhooking, hand cranking or otherwise trying to resequence the lights is working. I know I didn't touch any wiring or the motor when I replaced the bulb, simply unhooked the old one and plugged the new one in. And the motors for both were working perfectly fine last night. I know the motor is working because the light will still go up and down, it just won't return to either position fully: it always stops at the lazy eye position. ![]() I'm not sure what the issue is since everything was working perfectly fine until the new bulb went in. Any help would really be appreciated. ETA: it's an 86 GX if that makes any difference. Last edited by Barn Dirt; 04-27-2008 at 02:52 PM. Reason: model |
