iirc it is built into the s5 rails, and that the only way to correct a potential and serious fire hazard it to replace the rail or upgrade the fuel rails and run an aftermarket fuel pulsation damper.

The purpose of the PD is to help alleviate pressure pulsations(from injectors opening and slamming shut) in the fuel rail in an attempt to keep pressure the same at all times and make sure that they don't get sever enough to crack the rail,cause a leak or break an injector.

i would strongly suggest replacing it so that you don't potentially lose your car.
