![]() I wanted to use sheet metal and make all the transitions nice and rounded etc. I like the entry/exit points on yours, that's what I was originally thinking/wanting to do with mine. The pipe routing just wasn't working out with my turbo placement. Pussy. |

EDIT: See, this is what I want for end tanks lol. But I like how yours are simple and clean, without all the frankenstein welds that mine have lol. http://rotarycarclub.com/rotary_foru...52&postcount=4 Last edited by speedjunkie; 10-27-2015 at 01:03 AM. |

Several reasons. Firstly being packaging space. I wanted to make sure I had enough room to run my air filter into fresh air.
Secondly intercoolers loose efficiency the wider you go. If I went wider, in order to get one that would be able to handle the upper range of my flow rate would have made it prohibitively tall. So I kept it as short (width) wise as I could and increased the depth to bring it above my needs for flow. Also wanted to keep the overall volume of the system as low as possible to help with boost response. Quote:
![]() Dimple dieing perhaps. I wanted to ceramic coat the piping though. Also kinda want to get it running and make sure it doesn't have a pinhole somewhere before coating ![]() Quote:
