The FD3S trans isn't stronger.
Someone claimed different syncho set-up's, but I never got around to confirming this. They are basically the same thing. The clutch systems are different, therefore the different dimensions. Due to the push versus pull clutch systems, the input shafts and bell housings are different. -Ted
