My JDM tranny definitely has a different 5th gear than the USDM. I tested it about 4.5 years ago when I put it in...I don't remember what speed I tested at or the RPMs, but I do remember at the same speed and in 5th gear the JDM tranny was about 500 RPMs higher than the USDM.

Other than that I didn't notice any differences. Same electrical connections, bolts up exactly the same...
