I have a Deka ETX16 17lb battery in my fc, been working great so far; I finally installed it in my car after 2 years, it still fired up
Nice. The only problem is the super sexy billet hold down that I bought was machined specifically for the 75/25 series. I could always move that over to the truck, except I think that's running the 34 series.... sigh. I dunno. I may find a dealer and try to swap the fucker out for a yellow top. If they won't be good about it, and I bought the thing about a year ago, then fuck them. I'll check out that Deka. Is that a gel cell, dry top, no fumes when charging battery? Got the thing mounted in the passenger bin

I hope not to jinx anything, but I've had one ever since my old fc vert and I love it. I would leave the stereo on for 4 hours, leave the lights on for 30 min, leave the car KOEO overnight... pretty much do whatever the fuck I want and it ALWAYS starts... fucking ALWAYS.

So, I dunno what you're talking bout.... mush have bought the wrong battery?
No, the red one is the standard starting battery. The yellow is a deep cycle that is designed to be able to be brought back from the dead with no issues. The battery shouldn't die if left unattended for a few days though. It's not that I bought the wrong battery, it's that the battery pretty much blows.
