Well, that's kinda how disc brakes work, you will always have a little bit of dragging, but nothing that won't allow a wheel to freely spin.
I know that the 4 pot FC calipers need to have the springs that put pressure on the pads and I think these help the pads "retract" a bit when you let off the brake pedal.
