It's never a good idea to try to modify an injector. I wouldn't take a 550cc and try to make it a 720 by doing anything other than upping the fuel pressure. I would just buy new. If you don't want to spring for the ID's than everything else is pretty much the same as long as you stay within name brands. Hell, you could even get some drop in injectors from Marren Motorsports... although I will NEVER rec him again.

Ok, I was reading too much into what you said and misunderstood. I thought this PA shop was one that tweaks injectors on refurb to flow differently. Don't remember where, but I recall reading that this can be done with some some injector brands by substitution of some of the replaceable internal parts, which would be a steal at $25 each.
