Running Leading Plugs ONLY?
Unfortuantely, my driver in my Microtech for the lead coil failed so I have been forced to run only one set of plugs to get he going for DGRR '08.
The engine is a S4 13BT w/stock turbo. My main questions are... 1. Is there a difference in the lead and trail coils as far as strength of the firing? 2. Any recommendations as far as plugs to run?

Wow... How far do you have to drive it like this? My car will run and idle with just the Trailings, but it is down on power. Only reason I know this is my leading coil pack died during a quarter mile pass. Was able to finish the pass though.

I am currently running the trailing coils to the lead plugs w/ the split set to zero so essentially I am running the lead plugs only on the trailing coils. It runs fine, but sometimes loads up at idle and will pop flames on downshifts.

Shouldn't be much difference power wise on the coils. Running a stock setup on the Haltech runs the same charge time on all of them....not sure what kind of adjustment you've got on the MT.
I'd run stock 7's and take it easy. |

I'm running 9's all the way around. Just changed them today and all is well with the world.

/\ Why is that? I just changed my plugs out with some 9's and 7's, and they look a lot better than the old ones in there.

Once you start running higher boost, its safer to run 9s all around. I don't think most people really have to switch till about 300rwhp.
