I'm no expert on this but I'd be worried about that also. What does happen when/if it expands and needs an overflow container? I guess the pressure will cause the weakest link to leak. Hopefully that won't be more than a hose coupler in an easily accessible location.

As I mentioned I am using the AST as a overflow container, works just like the stock plastic one just not as much volume.

I know that at some point it will overflow but I will be checking the level often and to add to this I only drive the car at night or on the weekends and being in AK for now I don't see temps over 92C since it is cold here and my fans do kick in at 90c, if it does go over then I will just add another AST in the mix for more volume...lol...
