Don't feel bad, just what you've said about Subies confused me LOL. The 13B, 13B-REW, 12A, 10A, etc...the numbers indicate how many L, so 12A is 1.2L, 13B is 1.3L, etc. As far as what exact engines came in all the generations I'm not even sure yet, but I believe all the SA and FB (all first generation) came with 12A aside from the 84-85 GSL-SE (FB model/first gen), which had a 13B. Some second generation (FC) had an NA 13B and some were Turbo (specifically, the TurboII). As far as how many ports, I don't know enough about that. All third generation (FD) came with the 13B-REW twin turbo. This is probably confusing so wikipedia might help, and there are several different RX-7 themed sites to go too, but I don't remember any of them at the moment that have info on all generations.

well thanks for the info but i came across this one website that someone built that host pdf documents of every mazda service book and parts catalog he could get his hands on and i posted the link in the rotary tech section it even has training manuals!!!! everything is available for download but i dont suggest downloading everything unless you donate a little something for his cause...if too many people download it for free he has to take the site down which i can't afford to loose this info nor do i think any rotary fan could afford too loose
