mine isnt built for drag but it has the 8.8 to handle the 400 ponys my LS1 makes. Actually the 8.8 vs stock difference is greater than the 12a vs LS1 so I now have more weight in the ass of the car. add the roll bar and even more back there.
 oh and subs and dynamat
