rebuilding without removing the front cover?

it's funny people spent all those time and effort to pull the engine out, then they want to save a few bucks here and there ... and at the end that thing will cost them more than doing it right the first time.

I've been into these for over 15 years now. And have never only took
the motor partly apart. But it is also just my opinion. So do what you want.
Nothing may go wrong, but that’s just not a chance I would take.
