There's a huge difference between a 205 passenger car tire and a 205 all-out high performance trackday/autocross tire. Specifically how more "square" the racing tire is for maximum cornering grip vs. how "rounded" a passenger tire is for NVH (Noise/Vibration/Harshness, a measure of ride quality and comfort). The 225/60/16 Goodyear's on the g/f's 01 Grand Prix are rounded and have a softer sidewall then the identically sized 225/60/16 Toyo Proxes on the cop car, which are square shouldered, stiffer, and much louder. The cop car also grips like crazy whereas her tires are all-seasons.
