SACHS Rotary engine revival

Hello All,

Been too busy to post here much but wanted to share a video a few students of mine took at work.

2 years ago I found this engine in a bad state in our stock pile of teaching aids, it was very neglected and forgotten about, I undertook the task of knocking up a frame for it and restoring it.

Took off the govenor, made a race pipe, converted it to a hand throttle, and did a porting job on it. Overall the condition was not bad, had to machine up a few bits n pieces.

In our book room I managed to find the original dyno sheet and sales documents for the motor (which was purchsed from memory in 1967 from Rotor Power Australia *who were the Australasian Licence Holders for all SACHS prodcuts covering small engines and so on* I will try to scan this stuff and post it up at a later date.......... Flat out so dont hold your breath! between full time work and university study and doing rotary stuff and concuring the world with water injection my spare time is very precious!
