42.5/60= .7083 (rounded to .71). So the time for 43psi would be 5.71. Therefore: (5.71/5=1.142)x60= 68.52GPH 31.5/60= .525 (rounded to .53). So the time for 70psi would be 6.53. Therefore: (6.53/5=1.306)x60= 78.36GPH But.... I know that can't be right because if it were flowing a higher GPH @ higher psi than it would take less time. Can't math =(

So I spent about an hour manually searching through the Lounge here to find a thread Brian made forever and a day ago about GPH calculations. Why did it take me an hour to find a specific thread made by Brian???? BECAUSE THE FCUKING SEARCH FUNCTION FAILS!!! lol

Anyway, posting this link up because pertinent. http://rotarycarclub.com/rotary_foru...ad.php?t=11768

So, from the thread above I found this:

			Quote:

5:42.5 ----- 342 seconds (43psi fuel pressure) .055 LPS = 3.32 LPM = 199.47 LPH :: 52.77 GPH 6:31.5 ----- 391 seconds (70 fuel pressure) .048 LS = 2.91 LPM = 174.47 LPH :: 46.15 GPH I'm thinking I've either got a voltage problem, some sort of a restriction in the fuel lines themselves, my fuel filters are clogged (the in-tank sock is stupid old, and may actually have it too low in the tank), or the pump itself sucks... Lets just say that I'm less than happy... Gunna start with getting a replacement fuel filter (it's possible that bits of my old 044 are clogging it) and double checking where my pump is physically located in the tank. Unfortunately I can't monitor the voltage at the pump while testing this at home =(

if you check the sock also check the filter inside the pump. it is a small screen filter and if it gets even a small amount of junk inside the inlet the volume will take a dump quite quickly.

E85 stripping the tank sediment plugs the pump filters rather quickly. it's almost best to not even have it in there.

As far as I'm aware the pump was only used for 100-200 miles previously as an inline pump mounted after a swirl pot. I don't know for sure if the previous owner ran E85 or not, I know that I have no intention of putting it in my car though. I've got 1 week before my buddy arrives from England, 2 weeks before my wedding, and 3 weeks before DGRR... My new "to-do" list is to replace the filter element in my fuelab filter, replace the sock on the 044, re-test. If that results in the appropriate amount of flow than I'll be super happy. If not... I'll get Jacks sweet, sweet, man-cheeks over here and test again while monitoring voltage. Once my fuel flow is correct (ideally that won't require buying another pump) I'll get her on the dyno and get some numbers posted! (everybody loves dyno sheets! lol) So far I've ordered the new filter element, and I'll be ordering the new sock as soon as I finish posting here!

Congratulations on getting married, and I hope that you can get your car done for DGRR.

Not exactly a normal scenario as per why that shit happened. Fucking sucks to be honest. Though I am SUPER glad you guys came by after me.Poking fun like that isn't exactly cool, or appreciated, though.

You're telling me... This time I'll rebuild it solo, hopefully I remember enough from the last build to get it all right.

If I'm lucky than most of the engine will be salvageable. It will be a crying shame if I need to buy new rotors and irons
