I registered early in the morning and Nantahala Village is already completely booked by people who were allowed early VIP registration. Maybe there is a legitimate reason for allowing a select group to have special privileges, but on the surface this looks like a bunch of elitist crap. I have been supporting this event for many years, and this is the first time that I have felt unwelcome. Please do not repeat this next year.

I have no say in that practice man. I think this may be more the case of people reserving a room before registering. Phil is checking the list to see who shouldn't have reserved a room. We've never fully booked the entire Nantahala Village in less than 2 weeks, so something is definitely a problem.

Which confirmation page? Because I thought I fixed that already...

I know that you just run the website, but hopefully those who are involved in that practice will read this. I understand if event volunteers or sponsors get a preference, but this year there is a problem as you stated above.

I registered around 0700CT 15NOV13, so you may have fixed it since then. Screenshot thumbnail attached.

By the way, I think this is the first year that the code worked for me right off the bat, and ironically I can't use it to get a room because there aren't any left.

I also registered for the event early yesterday AM, but due to getting busy at work didn't get around to booking my room at NVNC until just a few minutes ago.... Managed to get the LAST available lodging on their property - cabin #23. Agree with your comments regarding early VIP reservations, if that practice is going on please don't do it again next year. I can understand Phil & his volunteer staffers getting first crack at NV lodging, since they organize & run the event, but no one else should receive any preferential treatment.

I think part of the problem with NV is they have fewer rooms available to begin with because they sold off some of their properties when management changed hands last year?

I registered yesterday also and had the same issue with trying to reserve a cabin If the village idiots are allowing people to reserve without having registered already unfortunately theres not much that can be done about it at this point and it will cause issues in the community but I agree if it happened that way it sucks but its not on Phil. its on the village idiots to make it right.

I'm still gonna come but if the village wants to be that way I'll take my hard earned cash elsewhere

What time did you try and rent a cabin? I got the last one on the lodge side at 1pm on 11/15.
