These rear counterweights are originally from Mazda OEM for automatic transmissions running a flex plate (for starter). The stock manual transmission models came with a Mazda OEM flywheel that was one-piece with it's own integrated counterweight. Almost every aftermarket flywheel for our cars require this rear counterweight, because the aftermarket flywheel does not have an integrated counterweight built into it. This is why you see them for sale. -Ted
