Ah, gotcha. Wiring good, injectors ok, ignition happening right? Dude I don't know if I'd even crack that thing open...118/118/116 aint bad compression in the slightest...

I'll make sure it's got a big garage (with a high ceiling) and totally install a lift

Bianca wants a big kitchen (for more baking) and I want a big garage (for moar cars)... I think we'd be good with a 500sq/ft house if it had a 100sq/ft garage and a 50sq/ft kitchen

The RX-8 stat gears are the same as the FD. They are just cheaper to buy new.

Math fail. Those are tiny spaces for both. Single car garage is ~336 sqft, and a 5'x10' kitchen would be terrible.

You sure? I thought the window alignment was slightly different.

The front is identical, the rear doesn't have the oring grove so you have to use sealant. There's no "upgrade", other than they are cheaper new.

Negative.... while the stat gears themselves are the same, the bearings are not. If mixing and matching 13B-REW and 13B-MSP eshaft and bearings, tolerances MUST be checked. Also, there is a taper in the rear of the MSP shaft, and like you said, there is no o-ring so it must be sealed. They are minor differences but they need to be addressed if you're a cheap fuck. If you just buy the MSP shaft and stat gear/bearing assemblies, you just slap them in.

Incorrect, the bearing part #'s are the same. The thickness ranges are the same. I do agree that clearance should be checked regardless though. If you recall MSP shaft in my FD stat gears checked out g2g.

Yes, PN's are the same but when you buy a stat gear with bearing, the supplied bearings are of different clearances though.... at least the ones we got @ S1 were.... hence... they all need to be checked... or should... most people don't.... they just say... not enough copper showing to throw these away

Wait... so if the metal gear itself is the same, and its just the bearings which are different... I could just pick up the rx-8 bearings to match the rx-8 eshaft??? I'm thinking pressing in the different bearings would be much cheaper than buying the entire set, IF it would work and that's really the only difference...

Yes?

I honestly don't plan on getting them as an "upgrade" but rather as a matching set for the 8 e-shaft. But if swapping bearings would make them all line up right...

This I would definitely believe. Would imagine they ship with the thicker range bearings due to the slightly smaller diameter of the MSP shaft. Completely agree they need to be checked.
