Finished! now back to MS Paint and Kindergarden cop maths with Howard !

O.K. Finalized fastener sizes, trimmed up some aspects and this is basically locked down, have smashed it into a group buy thread to gauge some interest and if its viable to make for others, if not will just be for ME

I've done even more detail work to the COP adaptor/s.... It's fucking sweet ass now, very tight design and 99% optimized now. I'm happy with everything else, many days refining to point where I would class it as almost perfect now.

Sure is better than my last COP set up which I just slapped together
still lasted without issues for years.... must know what I am doing lol.

I actually thought your previous setup was awesome too lol. I've wanted to do a COP setup at least since I saw the first setup, but I figured I never would. You've probably covered this before, but other than no "line drop" over the length of plug wires, and no wires that degrade over time, what are the advantages of COP over using wires?

So I assume that after you make a set of these you'll test them on your car in true RR fashion and log different parameters and get all scientific with it? lol

Advantages
* zero power loss
* RFI immune
* ultimate coil cooling
* LOOKS FUCKEN SICK !
* no huge antenna wires sending high voltage through the engine bay
* no arcing out against body work
* no cross arcing
* never need coil wires ever again
* less plug fouling as more energy at plug
* less engine misfires due to loss of power at plug tip

Disadvantages
* need tool to take off plug modules (1 x allen bolt)
* initial cost (maybe double,triple,quadruple? a set of top shelf after market wires) LOL (still to work that out)
* may not fit all applications different cars, unique set ups)
* need to keep 2 x old wires off your IGN-1A kit to do base timing (take off module and plug up wires to fit inductive timing light pick up)

I am sure there is more in either side, but that mostly sums it up.

Yes I will test it, but no real need, went through development with my first COP set up, this one is much better in ever respect and suits the majority of users who run these coils

Cool, to me it looks like all advantages and pretty much no disadvantages lol. Removal tool? No biggie. Price? MIGHT be a problem but it has to be pretty ridiculous lol. Fitment? You're making it for an FD already, so that's a plus, and as long as it fits with my specific setup, no problem there. Keeping two old wires? I'm a hoarder of parts so I have no problem with that lol.

Oh that's cool, I don't understand most of the scientific stuff anyway lol. I tend to trust those that know what they're talking about unless something sounds really fishy. I just figured you'd do it anyway haha.

That looks like a very nicely engineered piece Peter. Kudos.

Fuel Injector O-Ring for coil end, fits like a finger in a bum. Totally sealed.
The spark plug end will have 2 O-rings using the factory ribs in counter bore, again tip top.

Looks great. Why are you making the adapters instead of true coil on plug with just a shortened rubber boot over the coil and plug?

These popular coils will not fit axially using that simple version of COP.
ALSO that way does not have a robust connection.

Rubber boots degrade over time, this system is designed for LIFE TIME performance, its the ultimate, never buy another lead, boot, cracked COP boot etc etc.

So design fitment and quality is reason its not the way I did it on my first system.

OK!
I did a major redesign config, this is the best I can package it for OEM use.
Tell me what you think? its under 14mm past the front edge of the rotor housing now!
*New engine bracket mount
*New coil spacer mounts
*Re-Oriented COP adaptors
