Where do you live?

I'm NOT a tuner, though we've got plenty floating around on here. That being said, from what I've heard the rotary is def a bit different than standard piston engine tuning. I think it boils down to the timing split required and staging the different sized injectors.

Obviously you'd be better off with legit advice on the differences coming from one of the members on here that tune for a living.

Tuning process is the same.
Base maps can be significantly different.

What Rice Racing said....
You don't want someone who does piston engine shit to tune a rotary, there are too many variables.
You basically have two options, find some who has dealt with rotaries for decades, has worked or owned a rotary shop, has a running car that has survived years of abuse, (track and street) makes actual HP and runs and drives like a stock car, and can prove it to you. These people will tune your car on the dyno and street.
Someone like RR can SCIENTIFICALLY tune your car via emails and sending MAPS where as most tuners (me included) tune on the dyno/street.

Here is example of a 'consultancy customers file'............ It's extensive and NOT a typical 'mail order tune' from some f*ckwit

^ Just sent this now to a US customer who ordered a RRWEP140 water injection kit and tuning support

Had a customer yesterday who ran 9.27 seconds at 149mph in his road car in New Zealand he gags over the WI and tuning advise I give

Little report changed customers rx3 finally from c16 to wm50 98 petrol ran it last nights test and tune pb'd with a 9.27 at 149mph bettering the c16 time of 9.34 stoked as Dean. Boost was 33.5psi
It took a while to sort on the dyno had alot of rich missfiring so was showing it as lean on afr, likes to be around 10.8s to 11.5s seems to have a big window when tuning, cleaned up the top end at the track and it took off.I have not tuned any on straight water so are thinking that straight water can tune richer.
- Original Message -----
Hey pete that timing map i got off you a while back, is that working from a static of tdc. So 3.8bar 40.6psi you running 7.75 degrees and on what rotors. Don't worry all confidential thanks Dean. fuking love this water. Owner can't believe how cheap it is to run.

Hello,

Your website is very hard to navigate and I can't seem to find the link to email you. I'm looking for PFC tuning as well. Does your service require a datalogit to pull logs. I'm new to rotaries and engine tuning all together.

Thanks,

Alex

Hi Alex,

I am not an internet person, I just smash up as much detail as I can and have it simple enough, out of 10 people one will say what you are, the other 9 will say its sicker than tits............ so I leave the web site as is to suit the majority who love it.

Now onto your question:
* You will need a datalogit
* You will need some familiarity with computers
* You will need an AFR instrument hooked into the datalogit (one that your trust)

If you meet all that criteria then I can help you.

The other thing I do is send out programmed ECU's so it has a base in it that you can take to your local person or you yourself can screw around with on the hand set interface.

E-Mail me for details on that.

Peter
