To get started, I removed everything from the engine bay and cleaned everything up by washing it down and degreasing it. After letting it dry, my friends and I sanded it down and sprayed three layers of primer.

A while after I got more money saved up, I bought 180 & 80 grit sand paper, and bondo, to repair and fill th rust and holes on the car. I'm really nervous about this part because this is my first time doing this and I don't wanna mess up. While sanding the roof down it's coming out really good but I didn't realize that the sand paper was tearing the skin on my finger off.... nothing too serious though!

not too sure from the pictures.... but did you put something on the rust to stop it? Like a rust converter?
