They used to sell that design, and it also leaked! My guess is the machine work on the DP flange is not ideal( there was slop) or the welded tweaks it enough where it needs re machining again!

You do them (Elliot's company) everyday, but when I do these its clamped against a dummy housing and the weld of the flange is at least 1 inch away from the sealing clamp surface. No one though makes a flange like this cause it costs more money to make it this long (tight ass's).

If its not done like that then it will *always leak* and is near impossible to rectify (if its a taper type or stepped type *Tial*) after welding.

One of the only decent clamp flange styles is the HKS version (on their T04Z's T51 turbo kits), very thick and resistant to deformation in service on engine and also during fabrication.

These are practical things you can implement to solve this problem that work long term.

I have fixed the leak on this car, curious to see if its lasts now( especially since we are 30psi).
