Not a problem, as I love fc's . I look forward to definitely seeing it. Keep me posted on the rx8 rew swap, I'm very interested in it. I need boost in my life again. I don't like pulling next to a car and knowing I can't beat them. ( I don't condone street racing.....it's very very bad). Anyway, I'm curious as how the gear ratio in the fd trans will be with the 8's rear gears ratio.

Well, my under pan is busted now. Thanks Mazda, for making it out of not so durable plastic. I have the LRB pan and sides ordered. I also have oil pressure, oil temp, water temp gauges and dash gauge pod ordered as well. I'll post pictures of the finished install. This winter I need to replace my clutch, any suggestions on brand and stage? I know exedy is a good choice, but any other brands? Thanks.

Exedy is the stock one so it is a good choice. Some on the eight club claim that they are shit and break. I can't remember if it was the stock or the plus one version. But all the stuff I remember reading was one of those oh I heard this one guy who knew guy who had problems. Now I get if they made a bad batch, but I can't imagine that they make shit product. Since they are OEM for most if not all clutches in the world.

I never said I was putting an REW in my 8 I said I wouldn't want to do that again. And I don't plan to. I have..... other plans for my 8 when the renni gives it up.
Putting a turbo in an 8 is a complete plain in the ass because of the subframes involved.... I've built a few turbo 8's and I hated every single one of them

And you don't use the FD trans, you keep the 8 trans in the 8

Just don't buy centerforce.... next time you're in my shop look on my wall of shame and you'll see a centerforce dual friction that's supposed to be good to like 400ftlbs of torque that I shredded on the dyno at about 1/2 that. Not to mention the dual friction I had on my n/a that wouldn't stand up to 2track days.

CENTERFORCE SUCKS!!!

I miss read your post, I assumed that you did it to yours, sorry. I was wondering if they were any good, I haven't heard much about centerforce clutches. Anyway. I picked up some gauges and a dash pod, I just need to get one more thing before I can install them. Also, my oem plastic under pan is busted and will be replaced with the LRB Speed pan and supports. I'm still researching about the rew swap and figuring out what all I'll need. Input is much appreciated.
