What type of rear coil overs should I do?
I am setting my 1st gen up from drag and want to see what kind of custom coil overs and spring rate I should use in the rear of the car. I am working on a custom 8.8 rear end.

I don't know of any true coilovers for the rear. Solid axle cars tend to have a seperate spring and shock, making coilovers nearly non-existant. The shock mount isn't strong enough to mount a coilover, and there's not much in the spring area to attach one to.
There are a few companies that offer custom springs and an adjustable spring seat, such as ReSpeed. I cannot help on the spring rate. |

The only option I'm aware of for the rear of the car (now that ISC is no longer producing them) is from www.respeed.com
This is the system that I'm using, and it works very well. You can ask the question about spring rate in the Respeed vendor's section in this forum. ![]()

I also have the ReSpeed rear set-up. Quality parts, ride-height adjustable, and many spring rate options.
